Watching the World Series? I probably won't see most of it, but I think I will pull for the Cardinals. I lived in Missouri for a few years, and although I claim to be a Kansas City Royals fan, I'd rather go for a team in my old state than a team in the state that has some legacies I'm not fond of really. Plus, the cardinal is Virginia's state bird! So, there, I have made an intellectual (?) decision and I'm gonna stick to it! Go Saint Louis! (Plus, the Arch is super-cool...even when your older sister cries and screams all the way up to the top. Ha! I'll let you wonder which sister did that!)
Life without baseball? That's almost like saying life without football, although in my family football sure seems to top the charts! No game today for my Hokies. We finally made it into the top 25! Speaking of football and Hokies, I found a Michael Vick (Falcons) jersey in a Mexican supermarket! (Wal-Mart type store.) I didn't buy it, but I might reconsider. Even though it will swallow me--it's a Vick jersey! And it's here! God meshing two of my biggest loves--Virginia Tech and Mexico. How about that?
So. Go Cardinals! Go Hokies! Go Mexico!
Maybe I'll get serious again next time...
