Yes, it's true--I'M BACK!
HIJOLE! (Mexican: expression: "Wow!" "No way!")
For the few of you who still check this page, you must be wondering if I have been kidnapped in one of the many famous kidnappings for money in Mexico City. Well, no. Thankfully, no.
Angel and I simply have had a whirlwind of a month! Where do I begin? (I'll start at the very beginning--it's a very fine place to start!) Kudos if you know from where I took that line!
Remember my very last post? If you don't, you can click on it over there on the archived posts. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends. Part of our "thanksgiving" revolved around the fact that the Lord had finally conceded our request for an interview for Angel's permanent residency. So...we wanted to rejoice with our friends and also begin to say goodbye.
Then, we began the marathon!
A week in the state of Guanajuato, partly with family partly with friends.
A week in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico for the interview and all that goes with it.
A week in Ojo de Agua, Mexico selling all that was left and getting ready to go!
January 22, 2006: We boarded a plane with 2 suitcases each--nothing but our clothes and a few books--and landed in Houston, TX. After spending a few days in our new apartment and then a week with the Nelson family, we finally started to settle in to Brenham, TX, our new home!
So...as I write, I'm finally beginning to feel the calm! Erin...Brandy...I don't know if anyone else reads this, but you, too--I'm back!
I'll get deeper as the days go by--I have a lot whirling around in my head. Wow, what a move we've made!
Invite others to drop by here as I think out loud, 'cause I think I'll be doing that a lot in the next few weeks!
See ya'll!

"When you read you begin with 'A,B,C." When you sing you begin with 'Do, Re, Mi."
Gonna be singin' that for the rest of the night!
Did you know Dave and Susan Broadwell are moving their family to Dallas this summer? You old Hokies ought to hook up!
So glad to see you back.
