THANKSGIVING

Today is the big day! The turkey will soon hit the oven and we'll be smelling it all morning! What a great day to give thanks to the Lord! My house will be crowded with friends and we will rejoice together as we praise God. I cannot begin to enumerate the blessings and gifts I have to be thankful for, but there are a few worth mentioning here:
  • The Nelson (and in-laws we've accumulated!) family.
  • All of my handsome nephews and my beautiful niece.
  • Friends and "family" in Mexico. What would I do without them?
  • A healthy and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

That broadly sums up the wealth of blessings God has provided for me. Of course, much more could be added--some serious and some just plain fun--but, the turkey awaits its stuffing (Miller-style, of course) and so I must go.

THANKS BE TO THE LORD OUR GOD!
