Kaopectate and Merry Christmas!

So, what I learned is that one should avoid breaded chicken fried in lots of grease. That's this year's Christmas advice!

Yes, last night as all of Mexico celebrated Christmas, I chugged Kaopectate and prayed for sleep! Lunch Friday afternoon somehow didn't suit me. I had planned to go to the house of one of the local pastors to celebrate Christmas, but I ended up having to miss out on that except for the 20 minutes worth of "Hi, Merry Christmas, I'm going to vomit so I need to go now" that I added to the party! (Which, by the way, started at about midnight!) Kaopectate tastes pretty nasty (no peppermint version here) but I have found that it beats Pepto-Bismal by a long shot--something I thought I'd never say! Move over pink stuff!

Well, I'm back to normal now and today I celebrated the 25th with plenty of rest and some food Angel grunged off of our friends David and Aricella. I didn't feel like eating much, but some bread and a little bit of turkey actually tasted great! I even drank Coke today! (For those of you who don't know it, I have gone for almost a year refusing to actually BUY Coke for my household, and I have gone about a month without drinking it more than 2X.) But, the Coke calmed my stomach some and, boy, did it taste fine! Merry merry merry!

How's that for Christmas? But, you know, through it all I have to be thankful. See, I was probably the greediest kid in the county when it came to Christmas presents. Yeah, I was the one that woke up and went around trying to annoy everyone else to get out of bed so I could open gifts. I figured it would never change! However, all of the hoopla just doesn't phase me anymore--the true rebirth I have had in my life as a result of what Christ has done (and continues to do) just simply awes me! I have seen God's hand at work in a gazillion ways over the last few years of my life, and as I know Him more intimately, it just gets better and better! So, enjoy the gifts and the Christmas cookies, but be sure to give Him thanks!

:)
Merry Christmas!
